The optional power supply unit LX 55 increases the reliability of the OPTOPUS significantly by providing carrier grade redundancy. The optimized load sharing increases lifetime and reduces failure sources when using redundant LX 55 units. In case of a fault, one PSU can be exchanged without affecting the subscriber signal. This makes the operation stable and reliable. The PSU can, as well as the whole OPTOPUS platform, be monitored and managed from an SNMP or web-based management network.
